Carbonized Cork Fines & Micro Chunks

Carbonized Cork Fines & Micro Chunks

Three weeks from now, your bioactive setup could be running like it's been established for years.

Rich dark substrate. Plants rooting deep and staying anchored. Your cleanup crew thriving in every layer of the build.

That's what carbonized cork fines and micro chunks do inside a bioactive substrate and you just mix it in.

No special tools. No complicated ratios. No second-guessing your substrate build.

Just blend it into your existing mix, layer it into your enclosure, and let it work. The carbonized structure passively absorbs ammonia and organic waste as it builds up the same way charcoal does, but built directly into your substrate ingredient. Humidity stabilizes naturally between mistings because the cork holds and releases moisture without waterlogging the mix.

Isopods and springtails colonize the surface immediately. Beneficial bacteria find a home in every porous piece. Your bioactive cycle kicks in faster and stays more stable over time.

The dark carbonized color blends naturally into any tropical substrate mix without looking out of place — because it isn't.

How to use: Mix at 10–20% by volume into your existing tropical substrate blend, or use larger pieces as a drainage layer component. Works with coco coir, fir bark, sphagnum, and sand-based mixes.

Weight: 40oz

Please note that particle size and appearance may vary slightly between batches due to the natural variation of cork material and the carbonization process.
